UPDATE! How Should I Hand Quilt Borders

by Elene

Hi again,

005 is a template we are considering.

006 is one idea we thought could work.

We are moving these around to see what looks

We thought about enlarging the pattern, but we do not know how to make the line opening so we can draw the pattern on the quilt.

003 same as 006 Possibly put 1 line in 1st border, 2 lines of pattern in 2nd border and 3 lines of pattern in the 3rd border.

We are finishing up the quilting in one of the blocks, then will be ready to do the borders.

The blocks are done stitch in the ditch around the flower and the straight stitch lengthwise, and around the edge of the block.

Please ask any questions that would help you make suggestions.

Hi Elene,

I love the ideas that you have.

Personally, I would add some free form quilting to add a special touch.

Perhaps adding some pebbles or pearl shaped quilting to the ribbon design you've chosen.
