Suggestions for quilting an Applique quilt

entire quilt

I have spent several years putting an applique quilt together (King Size) representing things I love or love to do.

Now I am puzzled on how to quilt it.

I have watched some YouTube videos and read so much my head is spinning on how to make this very special.

I will be machine quilting this on a regular sewing machine.

I have quilted many quilts, usually with free motion stippling.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Unbelievable Work by our big Sis.
by: Anonymous

I am Theresa’s other sister and have seen this quilt first hand. Theresa has done an amazing job making it as well as putting the finishing stickers on it. I could be prouder of her for all the time and patience she has put into this quilt. She has always made beautiful quilts but I honk this one takes the cake. I hope to one day semi follow in her footprints and learn how to quilt. So very proud of Theresa.

Hard Work and determination
by: Carol

I am Theresa's younger sister. I can attest that she put so many hours, rolling over into years, on this quilt. She would talk about it on our calls and the stage she was at on it. She was so determined that she was going to complete it. Well she did and I have seen it first hand, it is so beautiful and she did an amazing job. Way to go, Sis!!!!!

Two Cents

There are SO many options that can be done with quilting this quilt.

My go to usually is "stitch in the ditch". So, when in doubt... that's what happens.

However, with this masterpiece, I think it would be an injustice.

How do you feel about making swirls that look like wind in the free spaces?

Perhaps it will make the scenes come alive.
