Riding Into The Sunset

A good friend of mine's husband loves Harley Davidson motorcycles. He has an awesome bike and it inspired me to want to design something around these amazing bikes for him. My friend did help with this process.
I scoured the internet for the best royalty-free, quality logos and photos of these bikes.
Initially, I used my own method to treat my fabric, so I could print these photos and incorporate them into a quilt. I was extremely disappointed with the long process and while watching a quilt video on YouTube, I had one of those 'aha' moments. I decided to buy the pre-made fabric sheets to make the process a whole lot easier. What a time saver!
I printed the photos onto these sheets and hadn't taken into consideration the amount of ink it would take so, consequently, I ended up having to make 4 trips to our local office supply store.
My friend and I were happy with the results, but the quilt just grew, and I had to start taking away some of the blocks to make it smaller, so it would be easier to manage.
My friend's husband was thrilled with it and showed it off to his other biker friends. Unfortunately, they all wanted one! I couldn't take on another project so soon, but did promise I would consider their requests but on a smaller scale.
