Question about Basic New York Beauty

by Ann
(NJ, USA)

I've printed out the layout pages for Basic New York Beauty (paper piecing) but realize that I don't understand the pages. The usual paper piecing layout page has the entire block on a page (connected) and when you've sewn it all the block is done. This layout is 5 separate sections. Are we to cut out and tape the sections together or make each section and sew together later? Help! Need to get moving on this since it is for a challenge coming up soon. Thanks!

Sections in Paper Piecing
by: Rebecca

Hi Ann,

To answer your question, each section is completed separately and sewn together later. This is a more advanced form of foundation paper piecing.

Let me know if you have any further questions I can assist you with.

Happy quilting,
