Polka Dot Squares

by Sue Ruch

Although I have sewn since I was young, I am new to quilting and am experimenting a bit with easy projects.

One problem I am finding is that when using polka dot fabrics, they do not seem to have the dots in perfectly straight rows.

When I have cut 5" strips and then cut them into squares, the crooked rows look sloppy.

Can anyone suggest some way to solve my problem?
