My Quilt of Many Firsts

by Kathy
(Winter Haven, FL, USA)

I found this quilt pattern in a magazine and decided I had to make it.

Went to the quilt shop and discussed it with the owner.

We picked out the fabric and appliqué supplies.

I had never appliquéd before (no. 1 first).

I got it all put together and had no wrinkles or tucks on the back (no. 2 first).

I free motion quilted without the use of stencils (no. 3 first).

I bound it and it went together perfectly and didn't have to take any part apart (no. 4 first).

I was so proud of myself!

A Beauty

Wow how very brave of you and how very successful.

It is really beautiful it is one that is delicate and to me just shows love in the colors, pattern and appliqués are so sweet.

Wonderful work.

Not the glance and move on work, I had to look at every detail.

There has only been one quilt I saw at a show many years ago that stayed in my mind, now there are two.

Thank you for sharing.

You should be proud of yourself. I'm proud of you too!

That was a lot of new things to try.

It's a very successful project.

Great Job!
