Midnight Quilting

Hot summer night and could not sleep!
Woke up at 3am and thought instead of tossing and turning, why don't I get out of bed and do some free motion quilt marking!
Got my trusty Frixion pen out, cute purple color, and proceeded to mark out a star with outflowing sparks!
It looked so cute and was looking forward to sewing it in the morning, when all was up. I did not want to disturb anyone. The sewing room is right next to the bedroom.
The next morning I sewed like mad.
It was such a lovely pattern to follow and I even got the nerve to do some more without marking!
Being so happy with the first lot I thought I would start the second.
Then my eye fell on the table I was drawing on during the night and thought this is strange.
I just saw my Frixion pen in the container on the side of the machine and there is it again!
Would you believe it?
I felt sick!
Twelve stars in my quilt and all quilted with a ballpoint, the same color on the outside as my Frixion pen!
First I cried.
Then got mad.
Later on to the computer I did some research.
How do I remove ballpoint from fabric!
Wet it, spray with hairspray! Could you still get hairspray? Went out with bell bottoms, didn’t it?
But yes, I did find a spray can of hairspray.
I then went to work.
Three treatments (and a very stiff quilt later) it is all done and gone!
Phew!
