Making a Quillow? What was That?

I learned something new at my church.
I made a Quillow, (a quilt that is also a pillow).
I had never made a quilt before and the sisters in the church helped me make it.
You started to make the pillow by making a pocket. This took me many times. I had to pull it a part, because I could not get it attached on the back correctly. The pocket is to put the quilt into.
The pocket fabric is the same fabric as the front of the quilt.
The pocket was attached to the on the backing fabric.
After attaching the pocket, the process was very simple. You take a sheet for the back. Lay it down, face up. Then the top face down with a thin layer of batting on top.
Sew around all of it, leaving a six-inch opening for turning it out.
Trim the corners and turn right side out.
Ironing it flat.
I stitched the lines on the top fabric following the square of the of the printed pattern.
It came out very well for my first quilt.
I am still using it today, many years later.
Now I am ready to start on more projects.
I don't have a picture because I don't know how to upload one to the computer.
