Camo Baby Quilt
Camo Baby Quilt
Here is a picture of a baby quilt I made for my little boy.
I made it using the baby quilting pattern I found here.
I was inspired by the camouflage quilt that I saw posted on this site.
I loved the idea of a baby boys quilt done in fleece camo and Day-Glo orange. It certainly was easier to make than something as large as the super king size one that you made, I’m sure.
I’m also lazy and just didn’t want to take the time to quilt around every shape. That’s why the free quilting pattern was such a hit for making this blanket.
When I saw the grey fleece that you used for the backing on your quilt, I thought it would break up my camo squares nicely.
It works don’t you think? Do you like it?
It was very simple to make and like you said, I didn’t need any batting because the fleece is so thick.
Now that the weather is starting to cool down, it’s perfect to wrap my boy in it on car trips. He snuggles with it when he’s in his car seat.
I can tell that it’s going to be my savor when we have long car rides in the snow this year.
Who knows maybe the quilt will last longer than a year or two.
I sure hope so, but you know what they say about boys. They’re tough on everything.
Thank you, QuiltingSupport, for having so many free quilting patterns and wonderful ideas to share with the rest of us.
