Need Help Assembling Antique Quilting Frame

I bought an antique floor quilting frame and cannot figure out how it works! It's different from the one my mother had many years ago.

This one has two feet that are a T with the horizontal part on the floor. At the top, there is a slot and a hole. There are two short bars that have a slot and hole that seem to indicate they fit into the slots on the feet. The slots and holes line up perfectly when the short bars are placed in the slots on the feet.

There is also a very long bar that fits into the slot near the bottom of the feet so as to scoot the feet as close or as far apart as you want.

Now the hard part. The two long bars (one with the leader cloth) have a hole on each end with a pin that crosses the hole. I cannot figure out how the two long bars attach to the rest of this contraption.

Any ideas?
